Swift BTEC Courses Taught through Long-Distance Learning

It is not always possible to attend every scheduled lecture for your course, but missing just a single session may result in you falling behind. The College of Central London, in Tower Hamlets, London, gives students the opportunity to complete their BTEC courses via long-distance learning.

Flexible Studying

Though we run our fast-track courses on a taught basis, two days per week, we also offer a flexible, on-demand basis to avoid them being intensive taught programmes. We have discovered that teaching the programmes to a rigid timetable doesn't work, as not all students are able to come in for 9.00 a.m. classes and finish at 3.00 p.m. twice a week. So instead of the taught-based courses, where attendance is a requirement, we have adopted a flexible approach which enables us to focus on student-centred learning, allowing those who work hard to finish quicker.

Working and Learning
This method of learning by distance and blended learning removes the burden of regularly attending classroom sessions to a scheduled timetable. Instead, you learn at your own pace, in the comfort of your own surrounds, which is especially important when combining learning with your job.

We also understand, however, that students may want to experience traditional teaching in a standard teaching environment, with the requirement of attending lecturers, seminars, and tutorials. That is why we ensured that this course catered for both attending and long-distance learners.
